Preventive Maintenance Event Count Calculator

Estimate whole preventive-maintenance events due over a planning period from expected operating hours and an entered positive run-hour interval. Formula: events = ceiling(period operating hours / interval hours). Assumes the period begins just after a completed PM event.

Example values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with values for your product, package, equipment, and operating conditions.

Inputs

Forecast period, PM interval, and meter phase

Range: at least 0 h

Enter non-negative forecast or scheduled run hours for this asset and planning period.

Range: at least 0 run h

Enter the positive asset-specific run-hour interval from its maintenance program. No universal interval is assumed.

Range: at least 0 h

Enter the asset hour-meter accumulation since its last completed PM at the start of the forecast period. It must be less than the PM interval; overdue assets require a separate immediate-maintenance decision.

Result

Valid
Projected run hours since last PM at period end
0.00 h
Run hours until next PM threshold
250.00 h
PM interval thresholds crossed in period
8 events
Interpretation and limitations
Events are PM run-hour thresholds crossed within the forecast period, using the starting hour-meter phase. The count does not prescribe the PM interval or confirm a maintenance procedure. An asset already at or beyond its interval is flagged for separate due/overdue handling.
