Packaging Changeover Cost Calculator

Estimate separate direct changeover labor cost, contribution value of production not recovered later, and variable cost of startup scrap. Formula: labor = minutes × operators × loaded USD/operator-hour / 60; unrecovered units = minutes × sustained good units/minute; lost contribution = unrecovered units × contribution margin/unit; scrap cost = whole startup scrap units × variable scrap cost/unit. Assumes the full changeover duration displaces production that is not caught up later. Keep cost components separate to prevent double-counting.
