Packaging Labor Cost per Unit Calculator

Estimate direct line labor cost per good package unit from staffed direct operators, loaded hourly labor cost, and sustained good output for the same production scope. Formula: direct labor cost/hour = operators × loaded USD/operator-hour; labor cost/good unit = direct labor cost/hour ÷ good units/hour. Loaded cost and actual output rate are user-supplied; indirect labor and any payroll burden not included in the loaded rate are excluded.

Example values are prefilled to demonstrate the calculation. Replace them with values for your product, package, equipment, and operating conditions.

Enter wage plus any labor burden you choose to include, in USD per direct operator-hour. Zero is allowed when no direct labor cost is allocated in this scope. Do not add the same burden again elsewhere.
